With meticulous attention to the intricacies of the shape and materials used to make the original, Alessi has reproduced in miniature form the "100% Make Up" Vase with Lid as designed by Alessandro Mendini. Known for his particular interest in neo-modern and contemporary design, Alessandro Mendini has amassed much recognition as a designer, architect and image consultant for many corporations by creating many objects, furniture and interior installations. Mendini describes his mission as one “to communicate through my objects and work in general, trying to say things that encourage people to deepen meditation and spirituality.”
Alessi has unveiled a series of miniatures comprising a number of classics from the last sixty years of their production. This collection includes iconic designs such as the
"Anna G." Corkscrew by Alessandro Mendini (1945) and the
"9093" Signature 67oz Kettle with Bird Whistle by Michael Graves. This impressive series was created with avid collectors of Alessi products in mind to give them the chance to complete their private collections of authentic Alessi products.
