I'd never owned this type of umbrella before, and didn't know anyone who had one. This site had the best prices, and the most umbrellas to choose from. This particular umbrella had great reviews all around, and for a fantastic price. I was most concerned about quality and potential for breakage, as I'd heard that many offset umbrellas broke easily. This umbrella didn't disappoint in any way. The quality is excellent. It's sturdy and expensive looking. We use it on our porch, over a round picnic table (Our porch is uncovered). The umbrella sits close to the table, and therefore doesn't take up alot of room on the porch. It allows us to stay outside even when it's raining--my niece sat under the umbrella in the pouring rain while she was doing arts and crafts, and stayed as dry as a bone! We close it when we know it's going to be windy, or when we're away from the house, but we would do that with any umbrella. Everyone in my family just loves it, and I can't say enough good things about it!

For the price, this umbrella is really great. [...]I originally purchased this umbrella to set up in my cubicle at work, to shield my area from the harsh cold lifeless lighting. It went up easily and filled the space above the cubicle perfectly. Unfortunately, the management were not amused, and I was ordered to take it down within an hour. It's too bad; because it created for me a wonderful little cave-like workspace.So now it sits on my new brick patio at home. We would go outside and sit under this umbrella, but it's 100 degrees out there right now. When it cools down we'll enjoy this umbrella.

We have a paver patio but the sun prevents us from using it during the afternoon. With the umbrella, we have been able to be out all day and barbeque without the sun in our faces. We are considering purchasing another one in the future.

Umbrella is great, wish there was a little instuction on how umbrella works, for instance when wind blows umbrella move off area where I want it. Have tighted up all three areas but doesn't help.

We puchased this umbrella 3 years ago. After surviving our CA coastal winds, it sadly was broken during an extremly severe wind storm. We searched the web for it's replacement and found Adirondack furniture to offer the best price and free delivery. Thank you for supplying us with this product. This time we will close it during extreme weather!
I highly reccommend this umbrella for it's strength and durabilty, It provides wonderful shade and is very easy to operate.
