- After 30 years, a decline in latex production has made only tapping rubber trees for their sap uneconomic
- Trees are removed by hand and replaced with new seedlings
- In the past, felled rubber trees were either burnt on the spot or used as fuel for locomotive engines, brick firing or latex curing. The wood is now used in the manufacture of high-end furniture. It is valued for its dense grain, stability, attractive color and acceptance of different finishes.
- It is also prized as an “environmentally friendly” wood, since it makes use of trees that have been cut down at the end of their latex-producing life cycle and are always replaced with new seedlings

Atlantic Furniture, Inc. (originally Watercraft, Inc.) was founded 1983 in Western Massachusetts and originally manufactured and sold pine waterbed frames to wholesale customers.
22 years later, Atlantic is a small company primarily involved in import furniture. Their center of operations is in Springfield, MA.

The most important thing to remember about truck freight is that you MUST inspect the package at the time of delivery. If the box has any damage, or if there is any reason for you to be at all concerned about damage, please write "PRODUCT DAMAGED" clearly on the sheet that they ask you to sign. This simply insures that if there is any damage, it will be easy to take care of the problem.
If you are ordering a very large item, please keep in mind that you may need a couple of people to help unload it. Alternatively, most truck freight companies offer additional services to help you move items from the truck into your house. Once we email you the tracking information you can contact the shipper directly to inquire about additional services. You would be responsible for directly paying the truck freight carrier for any additional services.

When ordering I couldn't see a chart of color finishes for this item as I did on other pieces. So I chose what I thought would be close to my existing furniture. I was disappointed though that it was so light. I was expecting something much darker.
The construction isn't as sturdy as I had hoped. The drawers wobble when opened and closed.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was delayed because they said they didn't have my phone number for an appointment time. However, when delivered they were exactly on time as stated and the delivery man was exceptionally pleasant and helpful

This product was horrible. The scratches were covered up with wood paint and damaged wood was covered with what looked like wood glue, drawers were glued together and two came apart[...]
Service and delivery comments:
I had two dressers delivered and after arguing with the delivery guy about the extremely damaged dresser, I took this one because the box wasn't damaged at all so I expected it to be in good condition. Wrong...two of the drawers were broken among other damage
