Atlantic Bunk Bed Construction
Atlantic Furniture prides themselves on using eco-friendly hardwood, otherwise known as the Rubber Tree. Using these trees is economical and good for the Earth because:
- After 30 years, a decline in latex production has made only tapping rubber trees for their sap uneconomic
- Trees are removed by hand and replaced with new seedlings
- In the past, felled rubber trees were either burnt on the spot or used as fuel for locomotive engines, brick firing or latex curing. The wood is now used in the manufacture of high-end furniture. It is valued for its dense grain, stability, attractive color and acceptance of different finishes.
- It is also prized as an “environmentally friendly” wood, since it makes use of trees that have been cut down at the end of their latex-producing life cycle and are always replaced with new seedlings

Atlantic Furniture, Inc. (originally Watercraft, Inc.) was founded 1983 in Western Massachusetts and originally manufactured and sold pine waterbed frames to wholesale customers.

The most important thing to remember about truck freight is that you MUST inspect the package at the time of delivery. If the box has any damage, or if there is any reason for you to be at all concerned about damage, please write "PRODUCT DAMAGED" clearly on the sheet that they ask you to sign. This simply insures that if there is any damage, it will be easy to take care of the problem.
If you are ordering a very large item, please keep in mind that you may need a couple of people to help unload it. Alternatively, most truck freight companies offer additional services to help you move items from the truck into your house. Once we email you the tracking information you can contact the shipper directly to inquire about additional services. You would be responsible for directly paying the truck freight carrier for any additional services.

This is a really nice bed. The bottom bunk has enough headroom for me to sit up (7 inch mattress and 5 and half foot mom)so it doesn't feel claustrophobic. We had no trouble putting the bed together. My husband was worried about sturdiness at first, but he said once he attached the ladder, everything tightened up. We have the ladder that goes straight up and down.
Service and delivery comments:
Shipping was prompt. Some of the boxes were damaged, but the shipper was very thorough and patient. One of the guard rails had a small smash at one end, but it did not affect installation.

This bed is great! Easy to assemble and looks great. Very sturdy. Only thing is there are no extra screws/bolts - one bolt was stripped - would have been nice to have a few extra screws/bolts to save time of going out to find one. Very pleased with this bed.
