About New Zealand Radiata Pine Wood:
Radiata Pine, better known as 'New Zealand Pine' is a softwood tree that contains many properties that make it very suitable for furniture and furniture making. It has a density equal to that of hardwoods like poplar, mahogany and oak. Its uniform density ensures a smooth and consistent texture and confers its excellent machining, painting and staining properties; there is almost no variation in color between pieces. DaVinci's pine wood originates from forests maintained by managers that enforce environmental responsibility and the conservation of forest wildlife.

i dont know if to recommend this product but its not easy to assemble....too much screws. and after i assembled it it was kind of loose. but its a beautiful when set up

Good for a toddler but I'm not sure how this bed will hold up once we convert it. The quality is lower than the other furniture we've purchased from specialty stores, but it was a good price and it looks nice.

I bought this for my 3 yr old son as a perfect bed to transition him out of his crib, but also to be used as a future larger bed since it can convert to a twin or full (using the rail conversion kit).
Craftmanship is excellent and he loves the bed. So far (3 days), he's transitioned much better than we expected. He really is proud of the bed and tells everyone about it.
The only negative is the instructions were not for the novice. I've put enough of these type of products together before that it wasn't difficult for me. However, there were no step-by-step instructions, which may make it difficult for some because you can't just start putting pieces together without planning the proper order.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was delayed due to the product being out of stock from the manufacturer (as it was with all other online retailers due to it's popularity).
However, it was delivered well before the alternate delivery date provided for the backorder.
Product was delivered in perfect condition with no damage and all parts.
Customer Service was OUTSTANDING for both communication about the backorder And price matching to a competitor albeit CSN's price was still VERY COMPETITIVE.
