He quotes, “When given the opportunity to design a “perfect” chair, I recalled classically designed chairs exploit the natural beauty and appealing familiarity of human proportion. This was also the key to the appeal of Renaissance architecture. Basic visual cues subconsciously invite you to interact with well-designed buildings or objects. So I chose to take a classic approach; get the human proportions right and aesthetics and comfort are quick to follow.”
