Sunglo:

The original
Sun Glo heater was designed in 1961 by Edwin J. Cowan, a leading U.S. infrared heating appliance engineer. A unique demand existed in California for decorative, yet practical, gas fired heaters. Mr. Cowan developed the circular radiant heater primarily for use in restaurants, hotels and country clubs.
The original challenge of designing an outdoor heater was to create an appliance that not only produced a comfortable amount of heat, but would also withstand the rigors of the outdoor environment. The Sun Glo heater has led way in meeting both of these challenges. Part of the secret of Sun Glo's success is not the amount of heat it produces, but how the heat is distributed. The deep dish reflector broadcasts the radiant heat over a large area so everyone can enjoy it. Sun Glo heaters are designed to stay lit even in a light breeze. To heat people outdoors, Sun Glo patio heaters utilize infrared heat. Infrared heat warms people like the sun on a cold day. The air temperature does not need to build up before you feel the warmth of the emerging sun. Infrared heat passes through the air heating people, and all solid objects.
Since the development of Sun Glo patio heaters the basic design has been modified for a wide variety of uses. The Sun Glo heater is now a welcome feature at popular resorts and hotels, fine restaurants and cafes, swimming pool and spa areas, and ski lodges. Residential and commercial users alike have discovered the benefits of extending the outdoor season. The quiet radiant warmth of these 40,000 and 50,000 BTU/hr patio heaters has been enjoyed world wide. When people want the very best, they choose Sun Glo heaters.

Truck Freight Additional Information:
This product is too heavy/large to ship via the small package delivery services (e.g. UPS, FedEx) so it will be sent to you via truck freight. Truck freight is different than standard UPS, FedEx or US Mail in that you will be responsible for carrying the product from the back of the truck into your house (or wherever it's going).
The most important thing to remember about truck freight is that you MUST inspect the package at the time of delivery. If the box has any damage, or if there is any reason for you to be at all concerned about damage, please write "PRODUCT DAMAGED" clearly on the sheet that they ask you to sign. This simply insures that if there is any damage, it will be easy to take care of the problem.
If you are ordering a very large item, please keep in mind that you may need a couple of people to help unload it. Alternatively, most truck freight companies offer additional services to help you move items from the truck into your house. Once we email you the tracking information you can contact the shipper directly to inquire about additional services. You would be responsible for directly paying the truck freight carrier for any additional services.
