The first one i received was very crooked like the other complaints. The replacement that was easy and quick to get looks perfect.
I attached the floor protectors to the top plate with the included adhesive pads so that i could use the spikes on my center channel speaker without the speaker sliding off the stand. They are holding fine for now but i will have to make sure they stay attached because it wouldn't be pretty if my expensive speaker slides off the stand.
I also used longer spikes on the stand to raise the speaker a little higher. My 6mm spikes would not fit the 8mm threads on the stand but i was able to find a adapter made by Viablue.
I also relocated the VTI Logo (not shown in pictures) from the top to the front of the bottom plate so it matched my VTI audio rack.

This is designed to angle the speaker upward significantly. The front of the plate is over 1" higher than the back. You can even it out somewhat with the adjustable feet, but it will never come close to being flat. Assuming this is what you want, this seems pretty sturdy and decently built.

I use the stand for a B&W center channel speaker. Overall a good product. Matches up well with my B&W stands.
I do have a couple of minor complaints. 1) I have yet to be able to get the plate that the speaker rests on perfectly straight. 2) I also wish that a taller post was available as an option.

The stand is sturdy [...].The quality control is not up to par though. The metal base is dented in the front. This is noticeable. The stand is intended to be low to the ground and angled upward so that it can fit underneath your projection screen or wall mounted television. The platform on which the center channel rests is angled upward slightly so that the speaker is pointed directly at ear level at the listening position. However, in order for the platform to point directly toward the listener, the mounted vertical pipe on which it rests needs to have the proper angle cut out on the top. The unit I received was cut improperly so that the platform is crooked once all pieces have been screwed together. There is no way to adjust this. As a result, the speaker does not lay flat. One side is higher than the other. Most people might not notice this unless I point it out, but it's an obvious flaw I immediately noticed while putting it together. Another byproduct of this is that the cutout in the back of the vertical pipe for the speaker wire is not direclty in back. It's somewhat off to the side. Combine the poor quality control of the stand with the dent in the front of the base and I would not recommend this item to anyone else...
