I bought this for a flat screen 40" TV and could have actually bought a size smaller. The measurements are a bit deceiving. My ONLY complaint is the finish - it's a little rough and difficult to dust as the cloth/rag doesn't glide smoothly and gets caught. A smoother flat finish would be preferable. Otherwise, it's a quality item.

Works great with my 50 inch plasma TV. I bought the TV stand to use on top of a wooden stand that was not quite high enough. The extra height makes viewing the TV much more enjoyable. Additionally, it is easy to change angles since the stand rotates effortlessly on quality ball bearings. Also makes it easy to get to the connections in the back of the TV. Stand should last forever.
